Program Management

ASD uses program management best practices based on PMBOK, ISO 9001, and our successful delivery of performance-based, Enterprise Information Technology (IT) contracts and task orders that feature a combination of Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Time and Material (T&M), and Cost Plus Firm Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract types to provide IT services and procurements. Many of these were awarded based on an Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation. With a DCMA-approved Contracting Purchasing System Review (CPSR) system, ASD acquires software and hardware for our clients with proven significant cost savings.

Datacenter Engineering and Support

ASD operates multiple DoD datacenters using ITIL best practices delivering 99.999% service availability. ASD has achieved ISO 20000 certification for the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) and at ASD's Alexandria, Virginia Headquarters. We maximize the use of virtualization to provision and consolidate servers to improve performance and availability of services to users. Vendor alliances and relationships with BMC, Dell, HP, Microsoft, Tanium, VMware, EMC, and others are leveraged for technical and SME support.

Network Engineering and Support

ASD operates multiple DoD networks using ITIL best practices delivering 99.999% service availability. ASD’s achieved ISO 20000 certification for the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). Currently supporting JIE and Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) initiatives at Joint Staff in collaboration with DISA.

Asset Management/Logistics Management

ASD has over 30 years of experience in IT Asset Management, Warehouse Management, and Logistics Support. We maintain IT inventory by validating hand-receipts, by completing semi-annual inventories, following all reporting guidelines for missing/damaged items, excessing equipment, and for repair of damaged equipment. We maintain inventory in accordance with all Federal regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), DoD Directives, DISA, DLA, OSD CIO and organization-specific policies in the areas of Asset Management, Material Handling, Computer Equipment Repair and Maintenance, and Acquisition Facilitation.

Service Desk

ASD uses best business practices like ITILv3, Help Desk Institute (HDI) guidelines, and ISO 9001 for our clients to operate Service Desks; earning outstanding performance reviews and exceeding SLA thresholds. ASD achieved ISO 20000 certification for the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) service desk. ASD currently supports more than 12,000 Joint Staff classified and unclassified end-points.
